The basis for the design of this multi-family dwelling lies in transporting the architectural concepts of the original Gründerzeit building to our present-day times.The new residential con1struction comprises three one-floor units that are accessed via a cascading interior staircase. Tiles are the typical material to cover roofs in the area， only rooflights and dormers are materialized in copper or tin. Our decision to cover the roof in copper creates a sharp appearance and allows a textile treatment of the roof areas.
