可检测针织、机织及无纺布的吸湿、湿润、导湿性能。 测试时，分别在试样的四个方向上互成90度交角安装接触式传感器，传感器环的中心有一织物穿刺针头，针头上方为电池驱动、可充式的电子移液管，可将一定量的盐水通过穿刺针头而施加于织物上，同时启动2个数字计时器，其中当传感器接触到水溶液时，相应的计时器停止并显示出透水性数据以评价织物成整理剂的润湿效果。

To determine the wettability, wicking or horizontal water permeability of woven, knitted or non-woven fabrics. An adjustable needle pierces the fabric in the centre of 4 contacts space at 90^o around a circle. The battery operated, rechargeable electronic pipette is positioned above the needle and a preset quantity of salt water solution is delivered to the fabric, simultaneously starting 2 digital timers, one connected to the "North-South" contacts, and one to the "West-East" contacts. The timers stops when the relevant contacts are reached by the solution, providing data on permeability to evaluate fabrics and finishes.
