Purpose
This test determine the non-combustibility performance of homogeneous products and substantial components of non-homogeneous products (a substantial component is a layer with a mass/unit area ³ 1.0 kg/m2 or a thickness ³ 1.0 mm). The test was developed to assess products which, whilst not completely inert, produce only a very limited amount of heat and flame when exposed to a temperature of approximately 750°C.
This test is used to assess a c***truction product to classes A1 and A2, and floorings to classes A1FL and A2FL.
Number of test specimen
At least 5 specimens are tested. Further tests may be needed for classification purposes.
