MACCON provides several families of servo and stepper motors, which can be used in a variety - in most cases demanding - machine and process applicati***:
Torque motors: rotary direct drive motors for high torque at low speed; in most cases supplied as kit motor
Linear motors: linear direct drive motor in 3-phase version (ironless or ironcore), also as ready to use integrated linear tables; voice coil actuators
Servo motors: dynamic 3-phase brushless DC-motors, for low voltage to 3x 480Vac supply, many feedback opti*** (resolver, halls, incremental encoder (digital and sine/cosine), absolut encoders (EnDat, Hiperface, BiSS), brakes, gearboxes, housed or kit versi***
Stepper motors: cost-effective positioning motors, industrial and low cost versi***, optional encoders, brakes or gearboxes ***ailable
Gearboxes: adjust the torque/speed beh***iour of the high speed servo motors to the (in most cases) much slower speed requirements in the application; this allows for a ***aller motor and a overall more cost-effective solution
Custom motors: we do not only adapt our motors to your application, we design your own motor if needed
For applicati*** which can't be served with catalogue motors we can help with modified versi*** both for electrical and mechanical data. In case where just a modification is not sufficient we are able to design and manufacture your custom motor as a special solution for your application.

ACTUATORS
Actuators in a sense are the mechanical subdivision of mechatronics. For any positioning application in the industry and in machines the actuator provides the idea for the solution - whether it is a catalogue product or a custom designed actuator with special performance and geometry. The actuator and the suitable electronics together are the mechatronic solution for your application, delivering the required performance and integrated into a predefined mechanical environment. In the sense of actuators we differentiate the solution by their mechanical concept:
Linear motor axis: For demanding applicati*** requiring high performance regarding dynamics and accuracy; based on direct drive technology
Tooth belt axis: The classical solution for linear servo applicati*** for long strokes in industrial applicati***
Linear actuators: Based on linear motor technology: a new concept for dynamic applicati***, designed to replace pneumatic actuators with the advantage of programmable positioning capabilities
Lead screw actuators and lead screw tables: The classical soluti*** for linear servo applicati*** for limited strokes in industrial applicati*** - often as replacement for pneumatic systems
Stepper motor lead screw actuators: The cost-effective solution for simple positioning applicati*** in open loop configuration at low forces - also for mass market applicati***
Voice Coil Actuators: The classical usage of the Lorentz force principle (force proportional to current, bidirectional, linear or rotary)
Linear Solenoids and Rotary Solenoids: As simple on/off actuators - ***ailable as rotary and linear solenoids, and also as latching solenoids and bistable solenoids

传动与控制
Without electronic and soft and firmware modern motion control just would not exist. Behind any servo or stepper motor we use there is an amplifier and positioning controller and of course a machine controller for general control. We differentiate between central and decentral (intelligence at each axis, connected with a communicati*** bus system) topology.
In the central control topology all the intelligence is centralised into one dedicated processor (the brain), which is resp***ible for all tasks regarding axis coordination (including interpolation), path calculation and generation and the position control. Depending on the exact configuration the controller may also be able to do the speed and current control; the command usually is an analog +/-10V signal or a digital PWM or pulse/direction signal.

Some controllers are able to take over resp***ibility for the motor commutation also, which has the advantage that the feedback needs to be connected to the controller only. The command is provided by two analog +/-10V signals (UV commutation commands) or by two digital PWM signals (digital UV commutation commands). Some controllers can even provide the switching commands for the power ICs directly, so that the power electronics only c***ists of the semiconductors and some protective circuit.
In the decentralised topology the motion control intelligence is provided by the single axis controllers, to take away the motion control specific tasks from the central processor; the amplifiers in this case are resp***ible for the motion tasks like path planning etc. For the communication several bus systems like CANopen, Profibus, EtherCAT etc. are ***ailable.
The most digital amplifiers today h***e already quite some intelligence on board (e.g. to provide a very comfortable setup tool) so that they also provide a fieldbus connection in addition to the classical +/-10V interface and therefore they are ideally suited for decentralised motion control architecture.
Since every application has its own specific requirements we supply a variety of amplifiers and controllers to be able to offer the best solution for your application:
Servo controllers for centralised control architecture (no integrated power electronics)
Digital servo controllers with integrated power electronics (versi*** for direct mains supply at 3x400Vac and 1x240Vac and DC-supply (12 to 650Vdc ***ailable)
Analog servo amplifiers with analog +/-10V command (also non switching technology)
Stepper controllersand -amplifiers: with integrated intelligence or with pulse/direction interface
Accessories (transformers, filters, inductors, cables, sensors/switches, CAN-converters, displays (HMI), etc.)
SENSORS
For commutation, digital velocity and positioning control of our motors we use linear and angular sensors. We supply feedback systems with 3 physical principles:
- electrical sensors
- magnetical sensors
- optical sensors
These sensors use the capacitive principle. They h***e specific advantages regarding size, weight, rigidity and power c***umption and can be geometrically adapted to your application. The electrical sensors provide an absolute position information within one rotation (360°). They are also ***ailable as linear sensors.
MACCON is the exclusive distributor for the
Netzerelectrical encoders for the German speaking countries.
Magnetical sensors
Magnetical sensors are often used because of their robustness, modularity and insensibility regarding high and low temperatures
Resolvers by Tamagawa, LTN, Alxion, Harowe, Artus
Inductosyn
Magnetoresistive sensors by AMO and Baumer-Huebner
Optical sensors are the most common sensors in position control applicati***. Therefore we find the biggest variety of types and dimensi*** in this technology.
These sensors supply the highest accuracy. We use them in our own applicati*** and distribute sensors of the following companies:
- Heidenhain
- SICK-Ste***n
- Renishaw
- Numerik Jena
- ***ago (former hp)
DC-Tachometer
For precise velocity control and disturbance suppression at axis with analog amplifiers the DC-Tachometer is still the best solution. Please ask for our catalogue.
