Product concept
The new servo gear units are individually matched at the drive side for each servomotor. Optionally a second drive shaft end is provided, e.g. for attachment of a rotary encoder.

Worm gear units
Product concept
Worm gear units are f***oured in general machinery and plant engineering. ZAE places particular importance on the quality of materials used and this ensures a:
- Long service life
- Above ***erage loadability

- Excellent ***ooth and emergency running characteristics
- Minimal maintenance
All housing parts are made from high quality grey cast iron (GG20). The hollow bosses for gear unit sizes greater than 100 are made from ductile (spheroidal) graphite iron (GGG42), the worm shafts are made from 16MnCrS5BG, which is hardened and ground. Worm gear unit rims are made from centrifugally cast solid bronze with nickel additives GzCuSn12Ni. This special bronze is resp***ible for the outstanding ***ooth and emergency running properties.

Type M: Optionally ***ailable with motor flange and motor coupling for IEC motors or square flange as well as a motor coupling with a clamping set for servomotors.
Up to gear unit sizes of 125, ZAE worm gear units can be equipped with an integral, externally adjustable safety friction clutch.

ETA-Drive
Product concept
These gear units combine the advantages of worm gear units with those of spur gear units: In the first gear high revs range, the multiple worm shafts run at efficiencies of up to 95% at lubrication f***ourable gear unit ratios. Here, the worm gear stages h***e optimum vibration damping properties that provide optimized ***ooth running.
Noise-optimized spur gear sets run in the downstream second or third gear reduction stages with equally good efficiency at lower speeds.

Bevel gear units
Product concept
Bevel gear units are f***oured when unf***ourable installation conditi*** necessitate a direction change in the tran***ission.
The bevel gear sets h***e spiral toothing and are manufactured from alloy case-hardened steel. All gear unit housings are cuboid in shape, are machined on all sides and also h***e mounting holes on all six sides. Additionally there is a centring fit.

- 4 standard tran***ission ratios from 1:1 to 4:1

Worm gear sets
Standard worm gear sets
The worm shafts are made from 16MnCrS5BG, hardened and grounded. Various worm shaft versi*** are ***ailable. Alongside a worm shaft with a cylindrical shaft end and feather key groove, there are versi*** with short, toothed shaft ends. The short shaft end has a toothed shaft profile according to DIN 5482 - including the ZAE type K coupling.
The worm gear unit rims are manufactured from centrifugally cast solid bronze GzCuSn12Ni with excellent anti-friction properties
As a sustitute to C***EX worm gear sets ZAE offers for quite some time successful the right alternative.
