筛板式槽型水力分级机又称典瓦(Denver)型水力分级机，是利用筛板造成干涉沉降条件的设备。机体外形为一角锥形箱，箱内用垂直隔板分成4~8个分级室。每个室的断面积为200mm×200mm。在距室底一定高度处设置筛板。
筛板式水力分级机的优点是构造简单，不需要动力。与机械搅拌式水力分级机比较，高度较小，便于配置。可以根据选厂处理能力的不同，制成四室、六室、八室等不同的规格。这种分级机在我国中小型选矿厂应用较多。
