SCAN-DIA provides a powerful cold mounting process, flexible and easy to handle.

Decade-long experience with specimen preparation serves as a basis for the continuing development of the SCAN-DIA mounting technique. It produces excellent results, together with short preparation times and high reproducibility at a reasonable price.

Cold mounting material

SCANDIPLAST – Standard mounting compound
cold hardening, bubble-free
green, transparent, hardening time: 30 – 60 min.
good adherence to the sample, good final hardening

SCAN***ICK – Quick mounting compound
cold hardening, bubble-free
light orange, weak transparent, hardening time: 6 min.
very good adherence to the sample

SCANDIPLEX – Special mounting compound
cold hardening, bubble-free
yellow transparent, curing time: 50 – 60 min
excellent adherence to the sample

VARIOPLEX – Pot life extension for SCANDIPLEX
extends processing life in special cases
e.g. in the case of vacuum embedding
reduces hardening  temperature

Mounting Accessories

SCANDIFORMS
Silicon rubber moulds, very flexible, and shape-retaining. No lubrication necessary, free of residues, and slight unshaping of cured specimens. SCANDIFORMS can be reused immediately.

SCAN-DIA provides one of the most comprehensive ranges of silicone rubber embedding profiles.

AEQUIDUR hardening equaliser
is a system for adjusting the hardness of the mount in order to protect the edges of the samples
