The Agilent/HP 4937A is a Tran***ission Impairment Measuring Set widely known as a TIMS Test Set. The 4937A has a Level/Frequency Tran***itter with a frequency range of 20Hz to 9999Hz and a output of -40dBm to +13dBm. The 4937A contains a set of voiceband tran***ission tests, level/frequency measurement, noise, and 2- and 4-wire return loss measurements. It also has the ability to seize and hold three types of E/M lines. In addition, the HP 4937A simulates signaling both from the central office and from the PBX at the network interface. It provides much greater flexibility than the 4935A as the 4935A will only do level and frequency while the 4937A adds signaling.
