The USB 2.0 Extender uses Course W***e Division Multiplexing (CWDM) technology to convert the DVI 1.0 signal from the PC or workstation into optical signals, which tr***el along one strand of multimode fiber. You can then place the receivers up to 1312 feet (400 m) away.
USB 2.0 support
The extender uses a second fiber to support transparent USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps. You can attach mass storage devices such as memory sticks, CD-ROM drives, or even DVD writers up to 1312 feet (400 m) from the workstation! Up to four USB peripherals are supported on the 4-port hub at the receiver end.
DDC read channel
The DDC read capability enables true EDID information to be received from the attached display. This guarantees optimum plug-and-play support.
