The Modem 34336 recognizes V.25 bis or AT commands. It will also dial a stored number upon DTR, so it can connect to devices (like routers) that use bandwidth-on-demand and line backup via DTR. And if your primary line goes down, the modem dials the backup line automatically.
The Modem 34336 supports V.42 bis and MNP for error correction and data compression.
