主要用于中小规模的污水处理厂曝气池充氧，设施简单，运行时由于叶轮的离心抛射和提升作用，使污水与活性污泥、空气得到充分混合，达到充氧，也可用于预曝气、曝气沉砂、曝气浮选等构筑物。

设备由电机，立式减速机、机座、十字滑块联轴器、主轴、泵E型叶轮和控制柜等组成。 位于曝气池污水表面以下一定深度的叶轮，在传动装置的带动下传动，污水被强烈搅动，产生的涡流使污水由叶轮进口吸入经流道从出口高速甩出，形成水跃，使液面不断更新，污水和大气得到充分接触，空气中的氧大量溶液入污水，完成对污水充氧。
